Max Peters Founder, Group Equities Ltd.

Max Peters came to Canada in 1950. Shortly after he began his career in the Menswear Business. As he began to set aside extra income he began to invest in real estate. His success can be attributed to hard work and the guiding belief: "Quality & Service Comes First". He never forgot his humble beginnings and the opportunity and support he received from the community. Giving back to the community has always been one of Max’s core values. Through his vision, leadership and dedication, he laid the foundation for the company we are today. Although he is no longer with us, his legacy continues to inspire our work.

Jeffrey P. Peters Chief Executive Officer, Group Equities Ltd.

Jeffrey Peters is the CEO of Group Equities Ltd. With over 40 years of experience, he has led projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use markets throughout Southern Ontario.

From concept to completion, Jeffrey brings experience across every phase of development. Under his leadership, Group Equities has grown through long-term partnerships, joint ventures, and a trusted network of private investors.

He also leads his own real estate investment firm, collaborating on high-value projects with developers, architects, and capital partners. Widely respected for his strategic vision and integrity, Jeffrey remains committed to using business as a force for lasting, positive impact in the community. Beyond business, Jeffrey is committed to giving back. He serves on several volunteer boards and remains a strong advocate for community-focused development and local economic growth. Community building and giving back is one of his core values.

Jason Kendal Vice President, Operations, Group Equities Ltd.

As Senior Vice President at Group Equities Ltd., Jason Kendal plays a key role in driving both day-to-day performance and long-term growth.

Jason specializes in identifying efficiencies, streamlining operations, leveraging data to guide decisions, and finding creative ways to improve project speed, tenant experience, and overall value.

Before joining Group Equities, Jason founded and scaled a successful service-based business, growing it to 30+ employees and nearly 1,000 recurring clients.

Working closely with CEO Jeffrey Peters, Jason ensures day-to-day operations remain aligned with the company’s broader vision while helping the company stay positioned for the future.

Monica Brown Controller, Group Equities Ltd.

Monica Brown is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and Controller at Group Equities Ltd., where she has led the company’s financial operations since 2016. With experience across multiple industries, she brings financial insight and a strong commitment to accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence.

Monica oversees Group Equities’ accounting, including financial reporting, payroll, regulatory compliance, and audit preparation. Her deep knowledge of accounting standards helps maintain rigorous financial controls and ensure transparency at every level.

Known for her collaborative approach, Monica regularly supports both internal teams and external partners—handling complex financial requests with responsiveness and care. She plays a vital role in advancing Group Equities’ strategic goals and fostering a culture of accountability and efficiency.Monica is a CPA, CA who has worked in many industries throughout her career. She lends her years of experience to Group Equities as Controller, joining in 2016. She oversees the operation of the accounting system, ensuring the integrity of transactions, and is responsible for compliance with regulatory agencies, reporting, payroll and year-end preparation. Monica loves working as part of the team, and handling ad-hoc requests from both team members and tenants.

Lynda Peters Office Manager, Group Equities Ltd.

Lynda Peters is the Office Manager at Group Equities Ltd, where she plays a key role in keeping operations running smoothly and efficiently. With over a decade of experience in office management, she ensures Group Equities’ internal systems are organized and accurate.

Lynda oversees day-to-day administration, bookkeeping, payroll and accounts payable and receivable.

Known for her precision, problem-solving skills, and approachable style, Lynda brings structure to Group Equities’ operations. Her dedication, accountability, and collaborative spirit are essential to the team’s continued success. As Office Manager, Lynda Peters plays an instrumental role in the day-to-day operation of the business. Lynda is responsible for a wide range of responsibilities, including accounting, property administration, and customer service. She also provides administrative leadership for the office. Her incredible organizational skills are paramount in keeping our team running smoothly. Lynda is a great problem solver and takes great care and personal pride in ensuring that tenants, trades, suppliers and staff are well taken care of.

Kasey Peters Project Specialist, Group Equities Ltd.

Kasey Peters is a Project Specialist at Group Equities, where she plays a key role in coordinating and advancing strategic initiatives.

Originally trained as an educator, Kasey transitioned into real estate after several summers with Group Equities, bringing strong organizational skills, clear communication, and creative problem-solving to her work.

She manages internal projects such as developing property manuals, overseeing corporate initiatives, improving operational systems, and working with the Senior Vice President to continually improve internal procedures and policies.

Known for her adaptability, diligence, and eagerness to learn, Kasey is a valued team member who has contributed to the company’s success.

Gus Oliveira Building Operations Manager, Group Equities Ltd.

Gus Oliveira is Group Equities’ Building Operations Manager, responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, performance, and overall care of the property portfolio and addresses tenant needs.

Since joining Group Equities in 2018, Gus has advanced through the organization, earning a reputation for his hands-on, solutions-driven approach. Based at the College Street property, he oversees preventative maintenance, vendor coordination, building inspections, and tenant support—with a strong focus on responsiveness and reliability.

An advocate for building sustainability, Gus seeks out energy efficient solutions and proactive management – resolving issues before they arise to reduce costs and improve performance.

Respected for his professionalism, Gus builds relationships with tenants, trades, and team members, consistently reflecting the values that define Group Equities.

Sahar Beheshti Administrative Coordinator, Group Equities Ltd.

Sahar Beheshti is an Administrative Coordinator at Group Equities Ltd. where she supports the day-to-day operations with precision, professionalism, and a strong command of office systems. Working closely with the Office Manager, she helps keep the team organized and efficient.

Since joining Group Equities in 2025, Sahar has become known for her calm demeanor, organization, and advanced tech skills. Prior to immigrating to Canada, she worked as a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist, earning a Master’s degree and leading major research and infrastructure projects for Iran’s Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Energy.

Sahar brings that same analytical mindset and project leadership experience to her work at Group Equities. Her adaptability, attention to detail, and commitment to results make her a valued member of the team.

Mariam is an Administrative Coordinator at Group Equities Ltd., where she supports the company’s operations through internal administrative logistics.

Mariam works closely with the building operations team to coordinate service requests, maintain internal filing systems, track compliance requirements, and support reporting for property performance and maintenance.

Known for her professionalism, clear communication, and organizational skills, Mariam helps ensure a seamless experience for both tenants and internal teams. Her proactive mindset and attention to detail make her a valued member of the Group Equities property support team.

Edivan Sotano 489 College St Building Operator, Group Equities Ltd.

Edivan Sotano is the Building Operator at Group Equities’ Toronto flagship property, 489 College Street. Since joining the company in 2023, he has played a key role in maintaining daily building operations to the high standards expected by both tenants and ownership.

Reporting directly to the Building Operations Manager, Edivan is responsible for daily building operations, and on-site support. As the first point of contact for tenants, he provides responsive, courteous service that reflects Group Equities commitment to excellence.

Eager to grow in his role, Edivan is actively training under the Building Operations Manager to expand his technical knowledge of building systems, preventative maintenance, and sustainability practices. His strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail make him a valuable member of the team.
